Changing your Frequency Patterns so You can Be Free, Be You!

Detox Part 2: Easing through the Process

In Part 1 on Detox, I covered the process of detoxing, delving into the why’s and how’s shifting the energetic and frequency patterns internally affect us.  At times it can be a disruptive process that can make us question whether we want to forge ahead, as our lives and relationships get strained to the max.

In this article I want to share some of my tips and tricks for getting through to the other side more smoothly.  This is by no means and all inclusive list.  It will at least get you started and hopefully lead you to coming up with your own tricks to maneuvering the stormy seas of your own process.

The bottom line to getting through the releasing of old patterns is self-care.  So let me start with some basics.  Some of this might feel more oriented towards women, but men will benefit just as much.  Be willing to do what your body and Being need to step into a purer, state of being for yourself.

Taking Care of the Physical Level

There’s a lot of information out there on supporting the physical body to detox.  I won’t cover these as it gets very particular to how your body functions and what works best for it specifically.  I have always been very attuned to the non-physical level in connection with my body.  Some people label that as having high body sensitivity.  This means I have tended to know something was out of balance before health issues got engrained into the physical systems.  For specific support for your body with a physical level detox, find a nutritionist or possibly a naturopath.  Just to stay on the safe side, also consult with your primary care physician.

Remember, if you have any physical or mental/emotional concerns, always consult a medical professional. This is not a substitute for professional help

All that aside some basics to ease the detox process at a physical level are as follows:

1. Water

Pure, alkaline water.  Drink up!  This helps to flush your system out. End of story.  Do consider not drinking artificial beverages, sugar beverages, caffeine products or even alcohol as all of these tax your system and will likely contribute to an aggravated detox process.  Even if you are detoxing non-physical ‘stuff’, it is still going through your physical system as it clears.  They are connected not separate from each other.

2. Sauna

Saunas make you sweat whether it is a dry sauna or wet sauna.  The heat and steam open up the pores up and gets the sweating action of the body going.  Sweating is a mechanism for the body to release toxins.  Check with your physician to make sure it is safe for you to do saunas.  It can be counter indicated in certain cases.

3. Baths

Salt is a natural detoxifier, as in the salt air and waters of the ocean.  No need to live on the beach to take advantage of salt.  Use about 1 cup of salt in a hot bath and let yourself soak in it.  Relax and put on some relaxing music to sooth your senses.

For extra duty on the detox, add in 1 cup cider vinegar and 1 T grated ginger to the water as you are filling up the bathtub.  Some people don’t like to do that because of the smell, but it will amp up the physical detox.

You can also add in essential oils to the bath water.  Do this after you have filled up the tub and just before or after you get in.  How many drops will depend on you and it could be anywhere between 5 and 10 drops.  What essential oils you use will depend on what feels right to you.  Many people, for example, like lavender for its calming effects on the nervous system.

Before you buy them, sniff them.  Since some people are extremely sensitive to smells, make sure that the smell is something you actually will enjoy unless you.  If you can and are willing to break through that barrier, look into what the helloing properties are of each essential oil you are considering.

Some essential oils should not be used in certain applications while it is safe with others.  Note that this will vary according to what country you live in. France, for example, as a very different application method for essential oils than in the USA, from my personal experience.  Make sure you are using food grade and preferably organic, wherever you purchase them.  Your system will be taking in their compounds via the skin and the lungs.

4. Breathing

There’s a lot of info and techniques out there for breathing and clearing out toxins from the body in this manner.  I don’t have a lot of information on this so will only share this basic principal.  Your blood is fed by the oxygen you breath in through your lungs.  Breathing in good clean air and breathing deeply so that you fill up your lungs well will each breath will support your physiology.

That said, I will share the following breathing technique that I have used to clear at the energetic and frequency levels in the next section.

5. Massage

Massage will calm the nervous system, sooth the skin and support the lymphatic system moving the lymph through the body and clear out toxins.  You can consider using a dry brush or loofa (a natural one is better than the plastic ones!) before a massage.

If you don’t have a good massage therapist or money’s a bit tight for one, you can do it yourself.  Abhayang is an Ayurvedic protocol for oil massaging your whole body from head to toe.  There are many sites online to look up how to do it.  You can ‘simplify’ the process by using just enough oil for the body section it is being used for.  It doesn’t have to be a full out grease yourself up session as the full Abhayang method calls for.  What oil to use will depend on your skin type.  Almond oil tends to be an ‘all skin types’ one.  Ayurveda delves into that.

6. Triphala

This is an Ayurvedic herbal blend.  It is used for pulling toxins out of the system.  I have used  mostly the powdered form.  Some people do not find that convenient.  I like the powdered form because the cleansing starts in the mouth with the taste.  It has the qualities of sweet, sour, pungent and astrigent.  I have found that when I am missing one of these in my diet, the taste of the triphala will take on the missing taste to bring the system into balance.  I’ve experienced this changing from one day to the next.  It’s also great because it balances the three doshas of the ayurvedic system.  It is also high in fiber and non-addictive.

Taking Care of the Non-Physical Level

1. Free Form Expression

One exercise that I have found very useful to release the mental/emotional stuff out is free form journalling.  This clears and opens up the energetic flow in the system and helps release the deeper frequency patterns.  I originally came across this exercise in the early 90’s in the book The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron.  In her morning pages exercise, you are guided to write 3 pages every morning.  This helps to clear the blocks and open up the flow of creativity.  Here is an extension of this exercise.

Doing it through writing:

When you feel the detox coming on, like you are feeling lethargic, congested or an emotional/mental mess, get out that ream of paper or notebook and start letting whatever is bottled up and pushing to come out to flow through your arm, hand and writing implement.  Just let it flow out onto the paper in whatever form it expresses.  Don’t judge, don’t hold back, and very importantly, don’t let anyone else see it or read it including yourself.  Consider writing with your non-dominant hand if writing by hand too. This helps to get past engrained patterns for an even deeper expression to come through.

This is just a release!!

If you don’t know what to say, write that;  If you think it’s stupid to do this, write that;  If you start swearing to all ends of the earth, write that; If suddenly your mind goes blank and you don’t know what to say, again, write that until words start flowing out again because they will.  You’ve simply hit on a ‘air pocket’, so keep pushing through past that.

Keep writing until nothing more comes out.  You will feel like you are running out of steam and less and less will come to mind to say.  Eventually, you will hit that stillness and inner calm.  The inner flow and fullness will increase from that.Good job!  You pushed through it all and let it flow out of you instead of getting stuck in it.

And when you are done, trash it, shred it or even burn it in the fireplace.  You can add to that action by saying “I’m done with this.  It’s finished and gone now!”  Don’t leave it lying around and don’t reread it.  This will give way for whatever needs to be released to come out.  You can’t cheat with this one.  If you do, it will keep things within you that need to be let go of, driving them in deeper and making it harder for them to be cleared out.

Doing it through Drawing/Painting

Use the same principals described in writing with any drawing and painting implement you want to use.  This time, I will suggest taking a deep breath in and connecting deeply with yourself, your spirit, your core essence… however you want to frame it for yourself.  Pick up your pencil and let the marks fall on the paper however they want to.  When you’ve done enough with one pencil or brush or color, come within again for a moment.  Connect with what’s inside and then pick up the next tool and again let the marks fall on the paper.

Keep repeating that until it feels complete for that piece of paper and marks.  Let the marks be made in any way – your figures; holding the pencil at the end instead of the usual way; holding it with your non-dominant hand… in whatever way comes to mind. It’s fascinating what takes form on the paper! The image for this blog post is one such drawing that I did.  It may lead you into a whole new past time and even more!

Doing it through Movement

Do the same as above just this time, move your body.  Maybe you want to move your whole body, maybe just one part.  Maybe you want to make sound as you move or maybe it’s just silence. Maybe its a scary face coming through while twisting around on the floor.  Maybe it’s punching the air and grunting, maybe what needs to come out is through a big sweep gesture of the arm above your head.  Let it flow and move it out.  Find some music that fits how and what you are feeling and let your body express to the music.

Try one of these, try them all.  See how that leads you into the flow of the expression of your spirit.  This in turn will lead to greater flow of possibilities into your life, more adventure, more life, more lightness and greater creativity all the while helping you go through detox!

2. Draining it Out Visualization

This is a great one to do in the shower or in the bath!  In the shower visualize all the gunk getting washed off by the water.  Imagine it going out the drain with the water.  Stick your head under the shower head and imagine the water pouring through your body and out the souls of your feet taking with it all the crap and toxins out with it.  You may want to keep watching the visual until you see clear water in your mind’s eye.

When you are taking a bath, imagine the water acting as a magnet and pulling all the toxins can garbage out of your body, be it physical or non-physical crap.  Visualize the water taking on all the crap all the way from deep within your body.  Then, when you step out of the tub and pull the drain, watch in your mind’s eye,  the dirty water flowing out the drain carrying away all the old junk and feel the clarity and lightness in you being.

3. Clearing Breath

Get into a comfortable position where you can stay awake through the process.  I find it best to be sitting upright.  Take some deep breaths and let yourself settle into your body a bit more.  With exhale allow yourself to bring your awareness down into your chest.  From there, allow it to flow all the way down to the core of the earth.  Breath into that for some breaths.  See if you can find a slight movement up/down movement that comes through with the breath.  Start to sync your breath to it.  What will start to happen is that your breath will deepen and the pull up from the core of the earth will move all the way up through your body.

On the in breath full the pure earth frequencies up through your body to a little bit above your head, say arm’s length above.  On the out breath imagine like a fountain raining down all around you and back into the ground.  As this fountain flows around your energy and body, bring your awareness back down to the core of the earth for the next breath.

Keep repeating that cycle until you feel clear or at least for 5-10 minutes.  Sometimes you may find that you need to do it for 20-30 minutes to clean out completely.  I have shifted a lot for myself with this breathing with visualization.

Frequency Repatterning Audios – FRA’s

There are two FRA’s available on the website for purchase that are great for supporting you in the detox process.

The Increasing the Brilliance of Body and Energy Field FRA is great for detoxing!  It will take you through each body system and energy layer, bringing each to a higher frequency level.  By going through these one by one, you will release distortions that have come up.

The “Chakras for a New Paradigm will take you through the seven major body chakras to clear them and reset them.  By raising the vibrational level of the chakra system you will clear out old distortions, cords, chakra distortions.  This in turn will get you moving through the detox process faster

Both of these are great to use any time whether after a session or anytime really, to shift you into a higher level

Last But Not Least

Nature!

Take time to be in nature when you are detoxing.  Find the purest nature you have access to and let yourself sit there and take in those balancing and whole being frequencies.  Whether you are sitting or walking or doing movement, take some extra time to come into that inner stillness from a moment and breath that purity in to your body and into your system.  Give yourself the time you need to be in nature until, again, you find that stillness with in.  You’ll know it because it will be a moment of being completely aligned to the present-moment-now.  Everything relaxes, everything feels, even if briefly, suspended in time and calmness reigns.

Breath that in a couple more moments before moving on!
