WHAT IS DETOXING
Something that commonly happens for people receiving deep healing work, is a process often referred to as detoxifying. Detoxing is the process by which the body and energetic system of the person releases the old patterns and incorporates the new ones. Sometimes it is easy, sometimes it is not. Be prepared for both!
First, let me help you understand what is happening for you in your system, from spirit level, through the frequency, energetic and physical levels.
Imagine a tall glass filled to the top with water that has some silt at the bottom. It’s been sitting there for a while so the silt is not readily noticeable at the surface of the water. Frequency repatterning is like pouring clean water into that glass. As the water is poured into the glass, it goes to the bottom of the glass. The silt gets agitated and comes to the surface and circulates out of the glass with the water that is flowing out of the glass.
And so it goes with your frequency repatterning session! This work reaches deep to the core of your being to release not just the old pattern but anything else connected up to that pattern and behavior, anything that created an environment within you conducive for that pattern to take hold. That can turn out to be a lot more than the actual issue itself.
WHAT THE PROCESS LOOKS LIKE
Usually people are more aware of detoxifying after a session, but it actually begins when the appointment gets made. It will show up in subtle or more obvious ways during the time before the actual session. It’s like your spirit kicks into high gear and starts cleaning up or at least bringing up situations that bring the issue up to the surface. Even in a GFR, group session, people often notice that what was coming up for them before the GFR was what gets addressed during the GFR.
Let’s take a look at it in the context of a session. Take for example a client who comes to shift a pattern around exercising. Try as they might, they keep having to push themselves hard to actually do what they plan to do. Sometimes it’s like herding cats. They just don’t get anywhere!
The session addresses the difficulty in committing to exercising everyday. That could bring up various conditioning and beliefs such as having felt like a complete dork in junior high gym class, or more simply put, negative judgment. Let’s say that’s the main patterning that comes up and gets shifted in the PFR – Personalized Frequency Repatterning – session.
That creates a whole new sense of self that is more positive than the original one. In this new and more positive sense of self, more things come to the surface that cannot exist in the new framework, like worthlessness, low self esteem, fear of failure, not being good enough, abusive and control behaviors from an adult, etc. All of this deeply, low lying silt and mud rises to the surface.
It comes to the surface and it registers in the system as it is being released. By “it registers in the system”, I mean your senses, your emotions, your thoughts, your physical body will be registering that release through emotions and reactions like anger or fear, thoughts of so-and-so being a total jerk for not being nicer to you, and you could feel flu-ish or even have muscle soreness or intense physical pain. People can experience all of these types of reactions and find that these subside on their own, once the frequencies and energetics shift into a new order of things.
To put it simply, an issue will shift from the spirit level and shift through the frequency, the energetic and physical levels of your being. All those levels get impacted and all of those shift as a result.
NOTE: Always consult your physician or a licensed therapist if you are not clear as to what is going on. Having the support you need is important. So do what you need to do to support yourself through the process.
RECOGNIZING IT
How it affects each person, is very individual. Watch yourself, watch your responses to others and situations. Your response may likely look the same as always or it may seem out of place for what is happening. In either case check in with yourself, ponder the possibility that your state is part of the releasing of old patterns and affirm that this is not you, it’s simply an old pattern shifting out.
To recap, some of the experiences of the detoxing process are: feeling disoriented or lost, feelings you had before surfacing strongly, reliving events in your mind, feeling emotional, reactive, upset, isolating yourself from others, pain and other bodily sensations, flu-like symptoms…
Again, these are from the releasing of old patterns of behaviors and old identities. The reference points you had before for being a certain way and the reasons for that are dissolved and, unless you grab hold of them again, will be replaced by a new state of being and a new you.
There are many tools to help you get through the process. How the process registers for the person is very individual. Some people are more energetically based, and all it takes is doing something that will help balance the energetic system. Others are physically based and the release registers through the physical body more strongly.
HANDLING IT
However it hits you, rest, sleep, a hot bath or sauna can be excellent in easing through the process. Other tools can be activities that can support the release through some sort of free form movement, writing, or drawing. Find what is helpful and works for you. It may be different each time.
Using the glass of water analogy, when the clean water has been completely poured into the glass, the silt will either be completely cleared out, or whatever is left will settle down at the bottom of the glass and calmness and clarity restored to the system. How long it takes for the system to be restored to balance depends on how much is being released but more importantly how much you are holding on to the old.
When you notice yourself thinking or saying or doing something that is right in line with that old pattern that got shifted, as soon as you notice it, acknowledge it for what it is – the old shit – and release it. This literally means saying to yourself, out loud or internally) “No! This is Not me.” Do your best to stop yourself from taking the action, saying what you would have usually said, etc. Take yourself away from the situation if you need to. You can also say: “This is the old and I’m not accepting this as a part of me anymore.”
Do this as soon as you have noticed that you have gone back to the old pattern of being, even if that is a week later. As soon as you notice, stop and say No that’s not me! Because in truth it is not you. It is a reaction to or outcome of something you experienced in the past and what is truly you is only the you in the present moment and time.
The best way to anchor into that “present moment you” is by becoming aware of your physical body in your physical environment right now, in every ‘right now moment’. Do this by noticing an object and then noticing any part of your body, like your hand or nose or… any part, it doesn’t matter which one you pick.
As always, come into your awareness of the present moment, your physical environment and your physical body.
